Course Outline

The theory portion of your course is completed online through easy-to-follow webinars, PowerPoints, and downloadable manuals. If you prefer a printed manual, you can purchase one here. This flexible learning approach ensures you’re well-prepared to focus on practical skills during training days. You’ll also complete written assessments to show your understanding.

The time it takes to complete the theory online varies, but it typically takes anywhere from 4 weeks to 3 months, depending on how many hours you dedicate each day.

Your practical training will take place at the nearest centre, with locations across the UK & Ireland, making it easy to attend. We want you to finish feeling confident and competent, so we don’t limit the number of practical days.

Practical Training Schedule:

9:15am: Arrival for a 9:30am start
9:30am – 11am: Review of theory
11am – 1pm: Practice consultations and treatments on each other
1pm onwards: Models come in for case study completion
4:30pm – 5pm: Finish

This structure ensures you get hands-on experience and the support you need to succeed.

Written assessments must be submitted and passed as competent before attending your final assessment day.

Theory MCQ exam will be completed on exam day

Exam/Assessment Day:

9:15am: Arrival
9:30am – 12:30pm: Practical Exam
12:30pm – 2:30pm: Theory Exam
2:00pm – 4:00pm: Feedback & Certificates

Once you pass your practical assessment, we’ll submit your results to VTCT to claim your certificate.

Course Structure

The VTCT Level 5 Certificate in Non-surgical Aesthetic Procedures for Skin Rejuvenation is delivered through a flexible blend of online learning and in-centre practical training. Students begin with self-paced theory, supported by live and recorded sessions covering advanced skin science, client consultation techniques, and non-surgical treatment principles.

This is followed by intensive in-person training, typically delivered over 4–5 days, where learners gain hands-on experience performing microneedling, mesotherapy, chemical peels, and LED therapy on live models. Throughout the course, you will complete written assignments, detailed case studies, and build a professional portfolio of evidence. The qualification concludes with a multiple-choice theory exam, externally assessed at an approved centre.

Each module is designed to develop your knowledge, safety awareness, and clinical confidence—covering everything from skin histology and ageing, to complication management and emergency protocols.

The course is structured to be completed within 6 month, making it ideal for working professionals who need a balance of flexibility and practical, real-world training. Upon completion, you’ll be fully prepared to deliver advanced rejuvenation treatments safely and effectively, while meeting the entry requirement for VTCT Level 7 in injectables.

Career Progression

On completion, you’ll be fully prepared to advance into the VTCT Level 7 Certificate in Injectable Aesthetics, as well as offer your own clinical skin rejuvenation services independently or within a medical setting.

Certification

Once you have completed all training and coursework, you will arrange to attend a practical assessment day to achieve your VTCT/CIBTAC qualification.

When you have successfully completed the course, you will receive a certificate issued by us. This not only demonstrates your commitment to the training but also allows you to obtain Public Liability insurance so you can start offering treatments to paying clients from home or mobile.

Once you have completed your assessment days you will also receive your VTCT/CIBTAC qualification certificate (this can take up to 12 weeks to be released from the awarding body VTCT/CIBTAC).
