The Practical element of the course will consist of:

3 x laser hair removal treatments and

3 x skin rejuvenation treatments.

Please note:

An EQA appointed by VTCT will sample and quality check assessments, the quality assurance process and the evidence gathered. You may be asked to attend an assessment day in our centre by the EQA.

A professional uniform must be worn at all times. Hair must be tied back, no nail polish, no jewellery except a wedding band and stud ear-rings.

Practical unit General information:

You should arrive for 9.45am to start at 10.00am the course will finish at approximately 4.00pm with a short break for lunch.
Late arrival is extremely disruptive to other students. If you arrive late (in excess of 30 minutes) you will be unable to participate in the training, resulting in a £50 transfer fee for a rescheduled date. Please ensure you allow sufficient time for travel to the centre & make use of navigation tools such as the map/directions on our website to guide your journey.

Tea, Coffee and water will be provided on the day.

You should ideally wear a professional beauty tunic. If you do not have uniform we will supply You should wear flat shoes with covered toes/heels. Please ensure you are suitably dressed to give and receive treatments.

Long hair should be tied back, away from the face. You should have clean, short nails which should be free of polish/nail extensions. You should be free of eyelash extensions for all courses where you will be working on the face. For hair removal (waxing), you must be willing to give and receive treatments on all areas covered. It is a requirement of the course that all students allow hair growth of 0.05cm in all areas to be treated (dependent on natural hair growth patterns). This is to ensure fairness to all students, to allow equal opportunity to practice.

Please ensure you leave all valuables at home, including any jewellery as we cannot accept responsibility for valuables at the training centre. You should not wear more than one wedding band and one pair of plain stud earrings.

You will be expected to experience and try out the treatments on each other, so you know what your client will expect and how to promote the services you are training for, therefore please refrain from having treatments such as botox and fillers at least 12 days prior to the course.

Do not forget to bring a laptop to do your exams!
